The 2017 Utah crime report published by the Department of Public Safety shows there were 633 violent crimes and 6,884 property crimes in Weber County. Aggravated assault was the most prevalent violent crime with a total of 409 incidents. There were also 9 murders, 94 rapes, and 121 robberies. The county also recorded 5,245 larcenies, 1,028 burglaries, 578 motor vehicle thefts and 33 arsons in that year.
A five-year crime rate analysis for Weber County shows that murder (200%), rape (91.8%), and aggravated assaults (45%) rates went up in Weber County between 2013 and 2017. In the same period, robbery rate declined by 12.3% while burglary and larceny rates dropped by 3.2% and 10.2% respectively. Over the five-year period, motor vehicle theft (46%) and arson (32%) rates increased in the county.

The Weber-Morgan Health Department also issues birth and death certificates for the county. Birth records from 1926 and death records from 1958 are available. To request a birth certificate, start by printing and completing a Birth Certificate Request Form. The fee for the first copy of a birth certificate is $20 while each additional certified copy requested at the same time costs $10. Submit a completed Death Certificate Request Form when requesting a death certificate from the Health Department. The first certified copy costs $30 while each additional certified copy attracts a $10 fee.
